Logan M. McClendon is a Detroit native who realized his world needs the arts in 2005. He studied Dance for 1 year at Wayne State University. He worked to complete his BFA in Dance for 4 years at the University of Michigan. This experience allowed him to perform works by UM Dance Faculty Robin Wilson & Jessica Fogel, guest chorographers Daniel Gwirtzman, Lindsey & Jason Dietz-Marchant, a work by Paul Taylor set by Ruth Andrien, Seán Curran and Dianne McIntyre among others.
Since graduation in April 2011, Logan has returned to Detroit and worked in customer service and technical support to launch his career as an independent recording artist. Under his stage name, Logan Mario, he has released music through his bandcamp site, loganmariomusic.bandcamp.com, and multiple digital music stores (iTunes, Amazon, GooglePlay, Rhapsody, Spotify).
Logan has furthered his dancing career by working with local choreographers, including Lauren Taylor, and he had the privilege of performing in the Detroit City Dance Festival 2013. Working with local choreographers has allowed him to travel to Canada to perform. He was offered a position at a local dance company and will release more information soon. With a budding music career and a pending position in a dance company, exciting things are happening. Stay connected at the websites listed below.
