A proud Ann Arborite, Sadie Yarrington received a B.F.A in Dance and B.S. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan in 2011. At UofM she performed works by Daniel Gwirtzman, Dianne McIntyre and Paul Taylor. After graduation she caught the travel bug and in 2012 trained and performed in Cuba (Oyu Oro Afro-Cuban Experimental Dance Ensemble), Australia (Buzz Dance Theatre, BalletLab), and New York (Sounds in Motion with Dianne McIntyre). Since then, Sadie has relocated to Los Angeles where she has worked with dance artists such as Stephan Koplowitz, Anne C. Moore and Sarah Swenson. In June 2013, Sadie became a company member of Invertigo Dance Theatre under the artistic direction of Laura Karlin (http://www.invertigodance.org).
A passionate dance educator, Sadie can be found teaching at Culver City High School (A.V.P.A), Inner-City Arts, and other community organizations/schools in the Los Angeles area. In Ann Arbor, she directed/choreographed over 12 large scale musical theater and dance productions and is excited to continue this work in California.
Laying the foundation for a bi-coastal career, Sadie is currently directing/choreographing the off-broadway dance production [PRESS PLAY] to premiere in New York in October 2013 (http://www.pressplaytheshow.com).
