The University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance is home many young, aspiring artists. Paring rigorous technique classes with a wide range of academic requirements, Michigan’s Department of Dance is “committed to excellence, innovation, learning in action, and entrepreneurship.”
Consisting of seven artists, “2011” – or as Professor Jessica Fogel deemed them “the Magnificent Seven” – grew together over the four years in Ann Arbor.
The class consists of dance artists from around the country, whose efforts have brought them to their final semesters in pursuit of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Having spent the past three years working collaboratively both within the University and among other artist around the country and abroad, their senior concerts will represent the culmination and combination of their training, explorations and personal growth throughout the past 3 years.
